I have one in exactly the same colour (ver t T i b e s t i ) – except for the fact that I had to get rid of the whole ABS body, which was crumbling to pieces after being stood up for 20 years b y t h e r i v e r a n d completely exposed to the elements. Astonishinly the steel frame underneath and the platform chassis are almost intact, considering.
Some bright spark had removed the... plugs, so it was no surprise that the engine had seized. After p o u r i n g lots of diesel in and waiting for six months, w i t h n o r e s u l t s , the mechanic finally gave up and disassembled the cylinders. Th o s e c o m b u s t i o n c h a m b e r s were full of seeds! The space between the engine and the sump guard/skidplate was also full of a c o r n s a n d s u c h . I felt rather sorry for the poor family of rodents who lost their storage unit.

As they make both the frames and bodies new these days
, I have a notion it would be worthwhile to build my own if I were to happen across a 2CV with unsalvageable bodywork.
